The RedMagic 11 Air is set for an official debut in China tomorrow, and RedMagic is driving anticipation with last-minute details. In its latest teaser, the company reveals key specs designed to set it apart from its predecessor — in a good way.

The RedMagic 11 Air will come with a big 7,000mAh battery, according to the company’s recent post on Weibo (source in Chinese). Even in 2026, 7,000mAh devices are still rare, and this is also the first Air with such a massive capacity. Even better, with 120W charging speeds and bypass charging, the upcoming smartphone is clearly built for marathon gaming sessions.
Smart Pikachu revealed more RedMagic 11 Air leaks ahead of launch
This, on top of earlier leaks from Smart Pikachu on Weibo (source in Chinese), makes the upcoming model a true flagship-grade device. Despite its 7.85mm profile, the handset will also get an active cooling system (24,000 RPM) for the first time. Previously, RedMagic opted for a passive cooling system to keep the design slim.
Other specs revealed earlier include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, as well as a 6.85-inch AMOELD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. And with RedMagic OS 11.0 based on Android 16 out of the box and a suite of AI features, it’s definitely destined for success in the local market.

Beyond all hardware changes, RedMagic will also equip the upcoming 11 Air with a semi-transparent finish, which shows some internal components. In contrast, the RedMagic 10 Air features such back design only on the Flair color variant.
Speaking of colors, according to Gadgets360, the 11 Air will be available in Stardust White, Aurora Silver, and Quantum Black.
When you think about it, there aren't many alternatives to this particular device on the US landscape. One possible rival is the OnePlus 15, which also comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, as well as a large 7,300mAh battery. However, it's slightly thicker than the 11 Air, featuring a 8.1mm profile. In any case, given that this model competes with one of the most powerful US-available devices, it's clearly built to offer serious value for power users.

While there’s still no official information on whether the RedMagic 11 Air will make an international debut, I think there’s a high probability. Historically, RedMagic has released previous Air variants to EU and US customers. Suppose the tendency continues, chances are international gamers will get to try the brand’s latest slim powerhouse firsthand in the near future.
The RedMagic Air 11 will be announced on January 20 at 3 PM China Standard Time, which is 1 AM CST, 2 AM EST, 7 AM GMT.
