The Pixel 11 launch event wasn’t even a month ago, but enough users have already gotten their hands on the new Google Pixel phones to start noticing some early bugs. One particularly odd issue seems to be affecting video recordings, though it’s still too early to tell how widespread the problem is.

Some early Pixel 11 adopters seem to have noticed a particularly annoying issue with audio in video recordings and have taken to Reddit to share their experience.
The video above was posted on Reddit by a Pixel 11 Pro XL owner, who noticed brief audio glitches every five seconds while filming an artist's performance during a show with their new Pixel 11 Pro XL. Reportedly, the issue is only present when the Video Boost feature is enabled.
While a single report of a weird audio glitch isn't enough to raise eyebrows, others chimed in under the original thread to share their own experience.

Apparently, the issue is present on 4K HDR videos recorded in 60 fps, though some users noticed that recording videos at 30 fps comes with the same bug.

Not the first glitch
However, less than a month after the initial reports emerged online, Google launched a fix for the Android Auto glitch on Pixel 10 phones. While this wouldn't automatically mean the current audio glitch in video recordings will be fixed in the coming weeks, I'm hoping for a similar development this time around.

Another user said they might have resolved the problem by toggling 60 fps off and back on.
At this stage, it’s unclear how many Pixel 11 Pro users may be affected by the problem and whether either of these solutions will permanently fix it. However, if you've noticed the same glitch on your Pixel 11 Pro or 11 Pro XL, it may be worthwhile to check if one of these quick fixes will do the job. In case it doesn't solve the problem, contacting Google and explaining the issue may be worth it.

I don't want to be too harsh here, but if you ask me, it’s hard to feel good about paying between $1,100 and $1,300 for a brand-new phone with a supposedly high-end camera, only to run into bugs like this.
Sure, bugs happen; nothing out of the ordinary about that. Hopefully, this one will be resolved sooner rather than later. Still, Google has already had to deal with a similar situation shortly after launching the Pixel 10 series. You'd think there would be some lessons to take away from that experience...
