Even though it's only April 27, OnePlus seems to have kicked off a spectacular May 2026 sale in the US, allowing you to save big (among others) on what was already one of the best Android phones around.

I'm not talking about the OnePlus 15 super-flagship, mind you, but the OnePlus 15R "budget flagship", which was tragically priced higher than its 13R predecessor at launch, fetching $699.99 in an entry-level configuration instead of $599.99.

What's even worse (and more uncharacteristic of OnePlus) is that the 15R scored basically no substantial discounts (without an obligatory trade-in, at least) in its first few months of availability, although that finally changes today... as far as the 512GB storage variant is concerned.

That model normally costs $799.99 in a Charcoal Black colorway, mind you, but right now, you can use the "MAY26" coupon code on the official OnePlus US website to knock the price down to $699.99. On top of an already unprecedented $100 discount, you can also get a free Sandstone magnetic case and either an additional protective case with an... interesting hole pattern or a complimentary pair of OnePlus Buds 4.

If you ask me, that's a very easy choice to make, as the OnePlus Buds 4 are typically available for $129.99 by themselves, while a OnePlus 15R Hole-Pattern magnetic case is only worth $24.99. Of course, OnePlus could run out of inventory as far as its complimentary wireless earbuds are concerned before long, but if you're quick and smart, you can essentially save $255 with a 15R purchase.

Whether the brand will pull out of the US market or not soon, the OnePlus 15R is obviously guaranteed to continue receiving regular software updates for several more years. As far as hardware goes, you're clearly looking at an amazing value proposition here, made greater than nearly all of its $699.99 competition by that generous 512 gigs of internal storage space, a gorgeous 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 165Hz refresh rate technology, a super-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, and a massive 7,400mAh battery capable of charging at a blazing fast 80W.

The cameras are perhaps... not everything they could have been, but you can't have it all at a significantly lower price than the OnePlus 15, right?
