With Apple finally entering the foldable smartphone market, the company undoubtedly wishes to snatch away significant market share from the Android manufacturers. The thing is, there’s good reason to believe that the foldable iPhone Ultra is capable of doing that, because apparently a lot of you are super excited for Apple’s new phone.

Half of you would love to switch

In a recent poll under a report about a new iPhone Ultra leak that showed even more promising specifications, we asked you what it would take for you to consider making the switch.

A little over 25 percent of you said that you were willing to seriously consider Apple’s foldable flagship if it turned out to be a competent phone. Meanwhile, almost another 25 percent of voters said that they couldn’t wait to get their hands on a foldable running on iOS.

The other half are reluctant

On the other hand, almost 38 percent of you said that the Android ecosystem was just too important to you for you to switch to an iPhone. Lastly, around 13 percent of respondents said that they might be open to making the switch if Apple made a foldable iPhone with a traditional layout instead of the wide-folding design that it currently has.

The iPhone Ultra needs to nail it

A lot is riding on Apple’s new foldable and it’s even going to be unveiled by the company’s new CEO, John Ternus.

The new wide-folding form factor, which Huawei and Samsung are both directly competing with using new phones of their own, needs to catch on with customers. Meanwhile, app support, hardware, and the entire overall experience absolutely need to gel with users lest Apple make a poor first impression.

Apple has it in the bag

I truly feel that the iPhone Ultra will be a very successful phone. Sure, I’m not sold on the wide-folding design myself but it’s a new Apple product that people have been clamoring for for years.

If the Galaxy Z TriFold can sell out in mere minutes of its launch with a price tag of $2,899, then so can the iPhone Ultra. In fact, that might be one of the problems for the iPhone Ultra on launch day.
