Last week’s Apple event — which covered the release of the foldable iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro models — brought back something that many of us have been missing. The event itself was spectacular too, but most of you tuned in to see Apple’s first foldable flagship finally become a reality.
iPhone Duo brought back that Apple magic
When new Apple CEO John Ternus teased the variable aperture for the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max before the event, we asked you why you were excited about this year’s presentation.
Most of you — over 34 percent — said that you were tuning in because you wanted to get the iPhone Duo. After years of waiting, even people who might have gotten tired of Apple’s yearly events likely tuned in because of the company’s first foldable.
Many others just wanted to keep up with Apple

Almost 28 percent of respondents, on the other hand, tuned in to the Apple event because they wanted to see what the company had been up to. September is always an exciting time for the tech world, and even many average consumers watch the Apple event or a video summarizing what took place.
Almost the same amount of voters, though just ever so slightly fewer in number, said that they were thinking of getting the iPhone 18 Pro, and that is why they were tuning in. Of course, as has now been confirmed, the base iPhone 18 and the iPhone Air 2 will be launching early next year alongside the iPhone 18e.

And then there are the haters
Lastly, almost 10 percent of respondents said that they were excited for the Apple event because they were looking forward to making fun of the new iPhone models. What about you? Did you watch the Apple event? If so, why did you tune in this year?

I loved it, personally
Personally, I haven’t enjoyed an Apple event to this extent in quite a while. I can’t exactly put my finger on why, but it was just so much more engaging this year.
And while the iPhone Duo might not have been a completely novel concept, it was nevertheless very interesting to finally see it in action.
Abdullah loves smartphones, Virtual Reality, and audio gear. Though he covers a wide range of news his favorite is always when he gets to talk about the newest VR venture or when Apple sets the industry ablaze with another phenomenal release.
