Google's discounted Pixel 2 XL also comes with a free Power Support case now
Because it was obviously too early to altogether pull the plug on Pixel 2 and 2 XL sales on the heels of the Pixel 3 announcement a couple of weeks back, Google decided to mark down the larger, more bug-plagued version of the two 2017 stock Android handsets.

But that may not have been enough to boost the mass appeal of the no-notch Pixel 2 XL, so in addition to the $150 discount, you can now also get a small freebie separately worth $34.95.

The Power Support Air Jacket is probably not the fanciest protective cover option out there, but it should get the job done competently enough to sweeten the Google Pixel 2 XL deal just a little bit more.

Made of “sleek, durable polycarbonate”, aka plastic, the case is essentially see-through, with a “self-healing coating” keeping things looking fresh at all times and perfect pairing with both black and black & white Pixel 2 XL variants.

All you have to do is add both the phone and the Power Support Air Jacket to your cart over at the online US Google Store by November 16 to claim your instant discount on the former and automatic latter gift.

Keep in mind that the Pixel 2 XL is now a measly 50 bucks pricier than its little brother, starting at $699 with 64GB storage space and fetching $799 in a 128 gig configuration. Extremely well-reviewed a year ago, the 6-incher was then widely criticized for its sub-par display performance, although a few of the (software) kinks were ironed out in the meantime. Currently running Android 9.0 Pie, the Pixel 2 XL has been promised two additional OS upgrades, also sporting a remarkable rear-facing camera, decent battery, and IP67-rated construction with water and dust resistance.
