I just got a look at what Samsung is cooking in preparation for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 — here's what I think
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9 series are just a couple of weeks away, and Samsung seems to be preparing some software updates to boost the launch of its next wearables.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9 series are just a couple of weeks away, and Samsung seems to be preparing some software updates to boost the launch of its next wearables. Leaked screenshots show a major redesign of the Galaxy Wearable app, ahead of the official July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event.

The leak comes from our colleagues at SammyGuru and tipster Galaxy Techie, who posted a slew of screenshots showing the new look and features of the Galaxy Wearable app.
The redesign is expected to land with versions One UI 9.0 and One UI 9 Watch later this month.
There are major changes to almost all sections of the app, mainly visual, but some are also tailored toward giving users a better and more convenient way to manage their Galaxy Watch. And there are some new features as well!
What feature you want to see on the next Galaxy Watch?

One of the big changes is the new Watch Faces tab, next to the Home and Settings screens. Previously, this section was grouped with Apps Screen, Tiles, and Quick Panel, and now Samsung is positioning it in a separate tab.
The visual style is in line with the design changes introduced with One UI 8.5, and the app icons sport a clean and stylish monochromatic look.

Furthermore, the tab features a realistic depiction of the paired Galaxy Watch bezel, so you can see how your watch face of choice would look on the screen.

The Home screen tab has also been redesigned. The app is now showing a realistic render of your exact Galaxy Watch model in color, strap included. Previously, the tab showed mostly settings, and now there are information about the battery percentage and the estimated remaining battery life.
Speaking of settings, the Devices settings tab has been redesigned as well.
Device Settings now has a new look

The device settings tab now features a cleaner look with the aforementioned monochrome icons and a gradient background. This visual change looks a lot closer to the last One UI update and brings the app up to speed with the general software design language Samsung has been pushing lately.
There are two large shortcuts now — Find My Watch and Tips — making it easier for people to access these features. The Tips section also shows the new One UI 9 banner, but in the leaked images there's a placeholder reading One UI 4.
New AI-powered features

Along with the visual changes, there are some neat AI-powered features as well. It seems that with the next update, instead of manually choosing widgets and creating Tiles, users will be able to ask Gemini to generate custom Tiles, based on their interests.
Speaking of Gemini, people will have an easier way to summon the AI agent. Instead of long-pressing the Home button, there will be an option to raise your wrist and put the watch into voice-listening mode. Meaning you will be able to just raise your hand and talk to Gemini.
One UI 9 and One UI 9 Watch are expected to launch on July 22, debuting on the new Galaxy Watch 9 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
We expect Samsung's new foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 — to be officially unveiled during the Summer Unpacked event as well.
The changes look good to me
I think the changes and the overall visual overhaul. The watch faces look much more natural on a realistic depiction of the watch, and the same goes for the About Watch tab and the Home tab.
The new way to access Gemini is also great, holding a button is never nice when it comes to user experience and breaks the flow of pretty much anything you're doing.
I'm curious about the AI-generated Tiles, this feature might be great or a total flop. I guess we'll see. What about you? What feature do you want to see on the next generation of Galaxy Watches?
