Whether you're preparing for the impending beginning of a new school year or a last-minute summer vacation during which you expect to need a distraction for your kids or a cool new way for the entire family to enjoy the latest hit show on Netflix, I'm pretty sure you could use some advice on the best phones, tablets, and smartwatches you can currently get at the lowest possible prices.

This week's top three deals are familiar but awesome

If you continue to believe that clamshell-style foldables have a future in a tech world dominated by book-style models, now is probably the best time to get a Galaxy Z Flip 8 in your choice of a 256 or 512GB storage variant. If you do so by the end of the handset's US pre-order window, Amazon will throw in a $200 gift card, making a... flawed value proposition significantly better (albeit still not ideal).

The most popular of the three new foldable models unveiled by Samsung last week is still available on pre-order alongside an almost surprisingly valuable $350 Amazon gift card in both 256 and 512GB storage variants and three color options (for each variant). The wide Z Fold 8 comes with a primary 7.6-inch screen, a secondary 5.5-inch display, two 50MP rear-facing cameras, and a 4,800mAh battery equipped with 45W wired and 20W wireless charging technology.

The most advanced foldable device ever released by Samsung is obviously not very affordable, but during its pre-order period, it includes a $350 Amazon gift card in its retail prices with 256 and 512GB storage. The Z Fold 8 Ultra sports larger screens, better cameras, and a heftier battery than the "regular" Z Fold 8, although there's still no S Pen support.

As hard as I'm trying every week to come up with unique lists and fresh new opportunities to save big on new and old products with price points as varied as possible, diversity is simply not always a feasible option for me.

That's the case for Amazon's Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra introductory promos, which may have captured your attention already last week, remaining in the spotlight today unchanged... and unbeatable. If you missed your initial chance to pre-order one of Samsung's latest and greatest foldables alongside a super-valuable Amazon freebie, you can still do that right now and secure your place in front of the global line for these three ultra-flexible Android powerhouses.

My recommendation? Consider the Galaxy Z Flip 8, as the fate of an entire product category might lie on the slightly too expensive but by no means terrible Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered clamshell.

They say the S26 Plus is nowhere near as popular as the S26 or S26 Ultra, but seeing as how Amazon has run out of stock shortly after slashing the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered 6.7-inch phone by $250, that might not be entirely true. Fortunately, Samsung's official US e-store is still running the same deal, and if you hurry, you can even choose your favorite storage variant and color option at the same massive discount.

Believe it or not, what's missing here this week is a pricey book-style foldable alternative for the brand-new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra rather than an ultra-affordable non-foldable.

Yes, the Moto G (2026), Moto G Power (2026), and Samsung Galaxy A57 5G are perfect for cash-strapped Android fans at their latest hefty discounts, and the Motorola Razr (2025), Razr Plus (2025), and Razr Ultra (2025) are all remarkably affordable as well... for their sophisticated designs and excellent specs.

Even the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S26 can be filed in the budget-friendly category... by certain standards today, while the Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra are by no means affordable but they still promise to deliver excellent value for the right type of buyer and unapologetic power user.

Only have three Benjamins to spend on a student-friendly new Android tablet with a lot of screen real estate and a surprisingly premium design? The OnePlus Pad Go 2 impressively checks all of those boxes... while also including a stylus (or case) in its newly reduced price.

Do you want probably the most productive tablet in the world right now and have a small fortune to spend... but still want to save as much money as possible? Then the 13-inch Surface Pro (2026) with 1TB storage and a Snapdragon X2 Elite processor is likely perfect for you.

Of course, there are also a bunch of devices between those two extremes that you'll want to consider, from the brand-new Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, and ThinkTab X11 mid-rangers at their first-ever discounts to the high-end Legion Tab Gen 5, Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, and Tab S11 Ultra. It's legitimately impressive how many substantial upgrades Samsung's latest rugged smartwatch has been able to bring to the table compared to its already pretty great forerunner. The screen is a lot brighter, the processor significantly more powerful, the battery life longer, and yet the product thickness is also reduced, so don't act surprised that the price point is slightly higher as well. If you hurry, you can get a $100 Amazon gift card to offset that small inconvenience.

Technically, the list prices of the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are not reduced... just yet. But given the super-young age and impressive upgrades of Samsung's two new smartwatches over their predecessors (especially the second-gen Galaxy Watch Ultra), you probably don't want to miss the opportunity of getting... something for free.

The Pixel Watch 3, Pixel Watch 4, and Apple Watch Series 11, meanwhile, are heavily marked down with no catches and no asterisks, which might make it seem futile to wait for the Pixel Watch 5 or Apple Watch Series 12. My recommendation? Probably the ultra-affordable Pixel Watch 3... if you can live with a few inherent hardware compromises and a shorter software support guarantee at this point.
