Walmart puts the keyboard-less BlackBerry Torch 9850 up for pre-order
Care for a taste of a keyboard-less 'Berry smartphone? Well, Walmart may have something that will spark your interest – the BlackBerry Torch 9850, which is currently available for pre-order on the retailer's web page.

Getting the smartphone will set you back $99, which is a pretty good offer considering that Sprint is expected to offer the device for $50 more. Of course, your signature on a 2-year agreement with Sprint will be required. Unfortunately, there are no details given in regards to the Torch 9850's shipping time frame, and since the carrier has yet to announce an official release date for the handset, when the order will be delivered to your doorstep is still anybody's guess.

For those of you who need their memories refreshed, the BlackBerry Torch 9850 is RIM's latest full touchscreen smartphone and boasts a 3.7-inch WVGA display. A 1.2GHz single-core processor is what will make it tick and BlackBerry 7 OS will be in charge of the whole show. Further specs include a 5-megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p video, 8 gigs of internal memory and mobile hotspot functionality.

Bear in mind that Walmart's offer is valid for new subscribers only and cannot be found in the retailer's outlets. If the BlackBerry Torch 9850 sounds like the right smartphone for you, do not hesitate to share that with us in the comments.
