The iPhone 6 release date pegged for between the 16th and 19th of September

The iPhone 6 announcement is fast approaching, pegged for September 9th, and if you're wondering how long it will take between the unveiling, and the actual release date, you can sleep tight now, knowing that Apple's finest will hit the shelves in the usual short timeframe after the event.

China Unicom insiders just shared that the iPhone 6 will pop up in the carrier's stores between September 16-19th, or about a week after the grand announcement. Not too shabby, and in line with Apple's great habit to unleash its handsets right after their announcement. As a reminder, the iPhone 6 is expected to sport a 4.7" display with 750x1334 pixels panel, and a new A8 processor, all wrapped up in a very slim 0.26" (7mm) metal chassis.
