T-Mobile to launch Motorola Charm on August 25th
A tweet from T-Mobile confirmed today that the Motorola Charm will be launched by the carrier on August 25th. Back in mid July, we reported that the handset would be delayed until that exact date, due to a battery problem. At the time, there was talk that the manufacturer was including an extended life battery with the phone, but apparently this is no longer necessary.

With a small 2.8 inch screen and a compact QWERTY keyboard, the Charm is designed for the messaging set that likes what the Android platform has to offer, but does not require a top of the line unit. The handset will launch with Android 2.1 on board and a 3MP camera. A 600MHz chip will be under the hood and MOTOBLUR will help you stay up to date with all of your social networks.

While pricing has not been released, earlier this summer the Charm was spotted in a leaked Back to School ad that had the phone being offered for free during the promotion. It is not known if the carrier still intends to carry on with the sale, and if so, it is not clear that the Charm will still be included. One prior report mentioned that the phone was to be priced at $74.99 after a $75 mail-in-rebate and a signed 2-year contract.
