T-Mobile LG V30 receives update containing August Android security patch
T-Mobile subscribers with the LG V30 will be able to sleep better at nights now that their phones have been updated with the August 1st Android security update. The software version is H93220k, and some customers of the nation's third largest carrier have already installed the update on their LG V30. Speaking of updates, T-Mobile has yet to include this on its LG V30 software support page.

T-Mobile typically suggests that before starting the updating process, its subscribers have a data connection and a battery charged to 50% or higher. Just to play it safe, you might want to have a Wi-Fi signal and fully charge your battery before installing the new files.

Since the update is being sent out OTA, its release is staggered. You might not receive the update for a few days. If you're the impatient type, you can always try to manually coax out the update by going to Settings > About phone > Update Center > System updates > Check for update.
