The sequel to the Gear 360 camera was silently introduced by Samsung during its Galaxy S8 reveal event back in March. In fact, the camera was simply showcased after the press conference, instead of being presented on stage along with the company's flagships.

Also, at that time, Samsung did not reveal any details about price and availability of the Gear 360 (2017) camera. Today, the South Korean company announced its new camera would be available for purchase on May 25 for just $229.

Moreover, customers who buy a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ between May 25 and June 19 will be given the opportunity to purchase the new Gear 360 for just $49. As mentioned, the promotion is available for a limited time and only while supplies last.

Samsung Gear 360 (2017) will be available for purchase in-store and online at Best Buy, Amazon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, as well as Samsung.com and ShopSamsung application.

If you haven't yet noticed, the promotion is only available in the United States, but other countries might get special deals on the Samsung Gear 360 (2017), so don't despair.
