Leaked Samsung Galaxy S8 specs sheet reveals 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage space

Just one day after seeing a seemingly accurate specs sheet for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8+, we're now treated with a specs list for the smaller Galaxy S8.

Revealed by TechnoBuffalo, the Galaxy S8 specs list that we're talking about looks almost identical to the one for the S8+, with a single notable and expected difference. While the S8+ sports a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, the S8 comes with a 5.8-inch display (of the same technology and pixel resolution). Both screens are slightly curved on the left and right sides.

Just like the Samsung Galaxy S7 series, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are dust- and water-resistant devices (IP68 certified). They've got iris scanners, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of expandable internal memory, wireless charging, and a pair of 12 MP and 8 MP cameras (rear and front, respectively). It looks like customers will also get AKG-tuned earphones in the retail box.

What's curiously missing from the specs sheets of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ is information about the phones' processors. However, rumors and educated guesses tell us that the handsets should be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 in the US, and by Samsung's own Exynos 9 8895 in other markets.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ could be officially announced on March 29, and launched several weeks later, on April 21. Which of the two models do you think you'll want to own?

I really dont get the point behind making the S8+ different from S8 by just 0.4 inches. There must be something else at play as well. cuz 0.4 inches is not an enough reason to pick over an already huge phone at 5.8". I'm thinking of dual camera setup or a stylus on S8+.

a stylus would make it a Note. And that would make me happy so I didn't have to wait so long for the note 8. The most important feature missing? Battery size/life There's probably a few minor feature differences, but a dual camera would be a happy surprise.

it's 5.8 due to the curves, not the actual size if true. So in reality it be more like 5.2 and 5.7

I don't get the point of the S7 and S7 Edge being just 0.4inches different, oh wait....

The S7 edge had significantly bigger battery, a curved screen and edge features over the regular variant. S8+ won't.

There was an edge variant. a huge difference called a flat screen vs a curved screen. which is not the case in these two models. i hope you'd get the point now.

The S7 is 5.1 inches and the S7 Edge is 5.5 inches, while the latter is obviously curved, it's a 0.4 inch difference between the two, and it's pretty noitceable in terms of overall phone size. I doubt Samsung will do anything else to differentiate it further hardware wise, but who knows? Edit: didn't see the other comments before, but yeah.

Samsung already have a superior camera tech in their dual pixel sensors. Why put more lenses on the back when it'll just make the phone look as fugly as those who use dual cameras? The size difference is probably what you get from keeping similar physical dimensions as the S7 and S7 edge.

I'll tell u what's at play: it's a test to see just how much larger they can push the screen size without neglecting their tablet market
