Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime unveiled in India with Samsung Mall pre-installed

For those consumers who love receiving packages every day, Samsung has pre-installed the Samsung Mall inside its latest handset earmarked for India. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will give users the ability to snap a picture of a product and receive information about where it, or a similar product, can be purchased on-line. Toss the items you're interested in into a virtual universal shopping cart (the ol' VUSC) even if they are from different on-line retailers, and look them over at your convenience. Currently, there are four on-line retailers that partner with Sammy for the mall, Amazon, Jabong, Shopclues, and Tata CLiQ.

So what can you expect specs-wise with the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime? Glad you asked. The phone carries a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. That's your standard FHD screen, so don't expect this model to offer the Infinity Display. This model has some home cooking inside as the Samsung Exynos 7870 chipset is under the hood. That component features an octa-core CPU with a 1.6GHz clock speed, and the Mali-T830 MP1 GPU.

Both rear and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP, with an aperture of f/1.9. There are two variants of the device. One comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The other is packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. Both models give you a chance to add as much as 256GB of additional storage with a microSD card. Keeping the lights on is a 3300mAh battery and Android Nougat is pre-installed.

The model with 32GB of storage is priced at 12,990 rupees (equivalent at current exchange rates to $203 USD), and the 64GB unit will cost you 14,990 rupees (equivalent to $235 USD). The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will launch on January 20th in Graphite Black and Champagne Gold and will be available only from Amazon.in and the Samsung Shop.
