Samsung Galaxy C9 hits Geekbench with 6GB of RAM

Samsung Galaxy C9 hits Geekbench with 6GB of RAM
Just a few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy C9 appeared on Indian import-export site Zauba. The listing revealed that the size of the screen on the unit is 6-inches. Today, the Galaxy C9 made an appearance on Geekbench, powered by the Snapdragon 652 chipset. The device was being driven by an octa-core 1.4GHz CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU.

Other specs include the 6GB of RAM found inside, and Android 6.0.1 is pre-installed. The model number of the handset is the SM-C9000. The Galaxy C range has been available in China only, so unless Sammy widens the distribution of this series, don't expect to find this phone in the U.S.

The single-core score on Geekbench for the Galaxy C9 was 1304. For the multi-core test, the phone tallied 4366. We expect to see the Samsung Galaxy C9 unveiled as soon as next month, in place as the top-of-the line handset for the Galaxy C series.

They aren't bad for the processing package. However, RAM management has always been an issue for Samsung. Hopefully they can get the most out of all that.

Not on my S7Edge exynos. Never had any issues with RAM on this phone.

You may not have any problems but that doesn't mean that TW couldn't use some more.

It IS a RAM hug, not saying it isn't but I don't see any issues.

All what TouchWiz does is caching. A OS and system UI can't be called "RAM hug". Apps are what meet the term "RAM hug", like the Facebook App for Android - it's also a battery hug.

What I ment was that TW have a lot of background apps running, taking up more RAM.. but like I said, I don't have any issues with RAM management.

Wow, I didn't know geekbench benchmarked RAM. That's some bad single core RAM and multi core RAM scores right?

Slightly off topic, but this video is a perfect explanation of how iPhonearena writes about all those Note 7 fiascos without questioning: https://youtu.be/RSgsugXjmBM

Maybe DDR3? But if you look at the remaining specs, it's nothing much to write home about. Which, except, for the Snapdragon 652 which is a upper midrange.
