Samsung's next 2019 mid-range tablet leaks for the first time
Unlike Google, Samsung is far from being done with tablets. The South Korean company has at least two new devices in this category in the pipeline: a high-end slate and an entry-level one. But it looks like Samsung really wants to cover all price tiers, which is no wonder considering the low number of companies that are still producing Android tablets.

Samsung's mid-tier tablet will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and 4GB RAM, which is more than decent for such a product. The tablet with model number SM-T545, recently appeared on Geekbench, SamMobile reports, but that doesn't guarantee its existence.

The tablet will most likely ship with Android 9.0 Pie on board and the report also claims it will pack 64GB storage. Hopefully, it will include a microSD card slot for memory expansion as well. Sadly, we know nothing about the tablet's display and battery.

Now, as far as price and release go, Samsung will probably want to spread the announcements over the coming months, so it's unlikely that the company will group the mid-range tablet with the Galaxy Tab S5, the high-end slate supposedly coming alongside the Galaxy Note 10 phablet in August.

Perhaps Samsung will bring its new mid- and low-tier tablets at IFA trade fair in early September, but that's just a guess due to lack of information.

Exactly! I have a feeling this might be an upgraded 5e with S Pen support!

Now that Google won’t be making tablets hence they won’t support tablet apps for android. So Samsung is basically stuck on scaled android app. That’s very sad when their competitor, iPad having its own OS and getting powerful specs which can run Pro apps.

Your making crap up once again iloveapps. Google is not stopping support for tablet apps for Android. Stop being a liar. Also Google sees more of a future with Chrome OS, and not just standalone Android tablets. Especially since Chrome OS can run Chrome apps and Android apps as well. Not to mention Linux programs now as well. Its ignorant people like you that like to spread lies all the time. Especially by saying things like "So Samsung is basically stuck on scaled android app. That’s very sad when their competitor, iPad having its own OS and getting powerful specs which can run Pro apps.". Where are these iPad pro apps right now? There is none. The iPad has always been a glorified iPhone with a bigger screen. It's funny that your handle tells others that you love apps, and if that is even slightly true. Then you would know that the future rests with agnostic apps that run on any platform. So apps like PWAs are the real future, and not the locked down and restrictive apps from Apple's closed off ecosystem. If you do any development, then you know what I have said is correct.
