Not Ice Cream Sandwich, but Asus Eee Pad Transformer gets update
With the first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in the States a $120 import from China, there was some hope that the Asus Eee Pad Transformer was going to get Android 4.0 with its upcoming update. Instead, the update will help eliminate some bugs on the tablet and enhance some of its features. The new build is version 8.6.5.21. Android 3.2.1 is not Ice Cream Sandwich, but until that update is ready to go, this is what owners of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer get.

As far as those who have rooted the tablet are concerned, your best bet is to ignore the update until it is known for sure that you won't lose root by installing it. The update is of the OTA variety which means that no computer is necessary to install it. If you haven't received a message on the screen alerting you to its presence, check out the setting manually to see if your update is ready to download.
