Microsoft and Funko team up to bring Gears of War franchise to Android and iOS
Before revealing the fifth major installment in the Gears of War saga for Xbox One and PC, Microsoft briefly unveiled yet another game in the same universe: Gears Pop! The game is the result of the collaboration between Microsoft, Funko, the well-known American manufacturer of licensed pop culture collectibles, and Mediatonic.
Gears Pop! will be available on Android and iOS sometime in 2019, so don't get your hopes high for a release this year. Unfortunately, not much is known about the game, but it will certainly include the beautifully designed Funko Pop figures everyone loves.
This will be the first Gears of War game that lands on mobile, so we expect Microsoft, Funko, and Mediatonic to take their time and make a great mobile game, one worthy of the highly-acclaimed franchise.
Hopefully, more details about the upcoming game will be revealed in the not so distant future, so stay tuned.
