LG might have a productivity tablet with SSD and a detachable keyboard in the pipeline
One of the larger tech giants from South Korea, LG, is usually putting its faith into traditional, no-frills tablets, such as the LG G Pad . Well, that doesn't mean that the maker is not keen on testing the waters and manufacturing a slate that is a tad different than usual. The rumor mill has it that the maker might be working on a "productivity-based” tablet with a detachable keyboard that is said to greatly resemble Microsoft's Surface Pro 3.
Said slate will be powered by a fourth-gen Intel Core processor, as well as an SSD (solid state drive) hard drive. The latter will not only provide better performance, but will go easy on the battery, too. The big question here, however, is what OS might be used by the South Korea-based giant - Android or Windows. LG is no stranger to either, as it has a large portfolio of Android slates (take the G Pad slate family), but several Windows ones, too (the hybrid LG Tab-Book, for example).
The latter was not very successful, so it is pretty logical that LG might want to "restart" its Windows tablet game with a new offering. Only time will tell if this will happen indeed.
