HTC says Android 5.1 Lollipop, Sense 7 UI for the One (M8) are due out this August

Enjoying Android 5.0 Lollipop and Sense 6 UI on your HTC One M8? Well, from the looks of it, you'll have to wait a few more months before you can enjoy a new software update to hit your flagship.

According to HTC UK, the flagship that got relieved from its duties roughly two months ago, will get treated to Android 5.1 Lollipop in 3-4 months' time, sometime in August 2015. Apart from the newest Android, the One M8 will also receive Sense 7 UI, the latest rendition of HTC's aftermarket user interface.

Due to one reason or another, HTC failed to meet the 90-day Lollipop update bar it put before itself. The international version of the HTC One M8, as well as the Google Play editions of the One M8 & the One M7, were updated with Lollipop a few months ago after numerous delays and unmet deadlines.
