HTC One max for Sprint, BlackBerry Z30 for Verizon, and the Motorola Moto G: weekly news round-up
A low-cost Android smartphone that is actually good – can such thing exist? The answer is yes, apparently, as Motorola proved that with its Moto G handset. Announced officially last week, it is a $179 mid-range device that is already on sale in some parts of the world, bound to be made available in over 30 countries by the year's end. Another device that went on sale just days ago is the second-generation iPad mini. Built for folks who are on the looks for a small-sized yet capable tablet, it can now be purchased for as low as $399. And speaking of product launches, Verizon exclusively released the BlackBerry Z30 – a 5-inch smartphone based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system. Being the best handset that the company has announced to date, it carries a premium price tag of $200 on contract.
