Google Pixel 2 series to be announced on October 5, Snapdragon 836 CPU inside

Google Pixel 2 - render based on rumors
Interestingly, last year's Pixel and Pixel XL were announced on October 4, so the new Pixel family is bound to be announced exactly 1 year and 1 day later.
As you may have already heard, the 5-inch Pixel 2 is likely manufactured by HTC, while the 6-inch Pixel XL 2 is seemingly made by LG. This would explain their different (yet not too different) appearances, as the larger model is expected to employ a near bezel-less design, while the smaller handset should have pretty prominent bezels at the top and bottom of the screen.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will almost certainly become the world's first smartphones to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. We're pretty excited about their upcoming release. Are you?
Google's second-generation Pixel handsets, powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC's, will be unveiled on October 5th.
