Results: Galaxy S8 trumps Galaxy A8 in the public eye

Samsung just launched the Galaxy A8 (2018) less than a month ago and it looks like a pretty solid midranger through and through... well until you see its price that is. With a tag of about €500 in Europe, where it's currently available, it's just €40 shy of the price of the Galaxy S8. Sure, the latter is Samsung's flagship for last year and is about to be replaced, but is it really that old that the Galaxy A8 (2018) surpasses it?

Sure, the midranger has the looks, but it does lack a certain oomph, especially when it comes to the camera. We were wondering — would people make the choice to buy the brand-new midrange model, or would they rather get the 1-year-old flagship? So, we asked. Here are the poll results:
