Deal: the Sony Xperia X is $100 off and includes a free 128GB microSD
With the unlocked version of Sony's Xperia X Performance having scored itself a recent discount, the standard Xperia X is also available at a cheaper rate. With $100 off the MSRP and a 128 GB mircoSD thrown in to sweeten the deal, it's now a much more palatable option than when it first launched.

Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 650 with Adreno 510 graphics, the Xperia X includes 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage. The rear-facing camera is a 23-megapixel effort, while the selfie snapper packs a 13-megapixel resolution. There's also a 2620 mAh battery to help keep the lights on.

Available in the color schemes of Lime Gold, Rose Gold, Graphite Black or White, retailer BuyDig has the device available at $449.99. This is a full $100 off its original price and even though it can be found near the $450 mark elsewhere, this offer gives also includes the 128 GB microSD. Even if you don't need all of that additional storage, fact that the Xperia X's native 32 GB ROM only offers 20 GB of usable space means you'll probably need some of it.

Announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year alongside the Xperia XA and the aforementioned X Performance, we found the Xperia X to be somewhat lackluster in a few key areas when we reviewed it. Like so many entrants to the Japanese company's portfolio over the past few years, the seemingly nice design and decent specs belie a fairly abject overall performance that gets too many of the basis wrong. We found quite a lot of issues when using the main camera in particular, which is both frustrating and baffling given Sony's reputation in this regard.

If you would like to grab the Xperia X at this discounted rate, you may want to move quickly as some variants appear to be low on stock. With that said, we'd highly recommend you take a look through our in-depth analysis before you pull the trigger.
