The Blu Life Max is a cheap smartphone with 3-day battery life and decent specs
Miami-based Blu has a new Android handset that offers decent features without costing too much.

Called Blu Life Max, the new smartphone will be released in the US via Amazon, Blu's official retail partner, for $118.87 (unlocked).

The highlight of the Life Max is its generous 3700 mAh battery. According to Blu, this can last up to 3 days "with standard usage" - that's something that you don't really get with most other smartphones out there. Of course, the fact that the Blu Life Max doesn't have high-end, power-draining features helps a lot in this regard.

Sporting a 5.5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels, the Blu Life Max relies on a quad-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6737 processor and 2 GB of RAM, so it should provide an OK user experience. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, further offering a fingerprint scanner, LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, and 16 GB of expandable storage space. There's an 8 MP camera on the back of the handset, and a 5 MP one on the front, both accompanied by LED flashes.

The Blu Life Max certainly doesn't look bad for a $120 smartphone, and its features are appealing enough at this price point. Amazon does not say exactly when the device will be in stock, but it should happen pretty soon. So, who's interested in buying this phone?

The lg x power for $10 is a better deal and it comes with 4000mah battery. I can easily get 10hrs of screen on time.lol

The LG X Power is a steal at $10, but remember that such a price only comes with a steep discount because you are buying from a carrier (and thus the phone is carrier-locked), and only when porting in your number from another carrier and/or activating a new line of service. At least, that is the deal I saw on Cricket... which I can't take advantage of because I'm already on Cricket, and I don't need any new lines. Under regular circumstances, as for someone in my position, the LG X Power costs $100, and is probably worth more like $150 to $200 unlocked (not sold by the carrier, and thus no discount).

As long as BLU has gotten past their little tangle with the Chinese server thingy, I would be happy to try out BLU products - my only wish is that they could keep it under $100. Perhaps if they kept the screen smaller, say 5 inches, and maybe stepped down to 1.5GB of RAM, and did away with the fingerprint scanner, they could get the costs down to the point that they could sell for under $100. I want to see this go up against the entry-to-mid-ranger that Nokia brings out in 2017, and I want to see how they would price all of these on Cricket, with the discount that they apply to make it cheaper to buy from them than to buy an unlocked handset. If it would be price competitive with something along the lines of the ZTE Grand X3, under those conditions, I would be very pleased.

Okay, it is a budget device. But, does it work on CDMA 800 MHz networks, such as Verizon Wireless, Sprint, US cellular in the United States of America and Perfectum in Uzbekistan?

by "3-day battery life" I think about 8000mAh battery capacity or something.. but this specs and price is pure s**t.. RN3pro have even bigger battery (4000mAh), 5.5" 1080p, SD650, better in all aspect... for slightly more
