Blu Energy X Plus 2 is a new, cheap Android phone with a 4,900 mAh battery
Blu Products just unveiled a new Android smartphone from its Energy series: the Blu Energy X Plus 2. Like the Energy X Plus released back in 2015, the Energy X Plus 2 is a cheap device with a very generous battery, but without other impressive features.

The new Blu handset packs a 4,900 mAh battery which, according to its maker, will last "up to 3 days with standard usage." The battery also supports quick charging, obviously being the main selling point of the Energy X Plus 2.

Sporting a 5.5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, the Blu Energy X Plus 2 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6580 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, and offers only 1 GB of RAM, plus 8 GB of internal memory. Luckily, there's a microSD card slot on board. You're also getting an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front-facing camera with its own LED flash, dual SIM support, and HSPA+ connectivity (there's no support for LTE).

The Blu Energy X Plus 2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we don't know when (or if) it's going to be updated to Android 7 Nougat. The smartphone is not yet available to buy, but it does show up on Amazon, where it's priced at $106.72. We assume Blu will release the handset in the near future. The phone is unlocked, has three color versions (black, gold, and rose gold), and will work on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile.

Is anyone here considering buying the Blu Energy X Plus 2?
