Back in Black: Apple's iPhone 7 in Jet Black now ships same day from Apple

Remember back in September when the shipping date for the Jet Black Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus was pushed back until November? The good news is that Apple has pretty much caught up with demand for the color and the phone now ships from Apple the same day for the iPhone 7 and in 1 to 3 business days for the iPhone 7 Plus. That covers both the 128GB and 256GB models as well as unlocked and carrier locked units.

If you are planning on buying the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black, just remember that the particular finish is sensitive to abrasions. While a case might protect the handset, why buy a Jet Black model only to cover it up? If you are planning on buying a case anyway, this morning we gave you some suggestions on which cases will keep your Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus looking awesome.

Instead of having your new phone shipped, you could decide to go down to your local Apple Store and personally have the Jet Black Apple iPhone 7 or Apple iPhone 7 Plus deftly dropped into your sweaty, shaking hands. In that case though, Apple says that you need to check with the Apple Stores in your area about availability.

^^ Ya, as it hides fingerprints better than the Jet Black. But the stealth of Jet Black makes the iPhone 7 look badass.

The jet black model is grippy without the case but it scratches easily. The matte black version is pretty slick without a case but less prone to scratching and smudging. If only they could combine the best of both.

Woah, the shiny Jet Black iPhone 7 is back sooner than I expected... This will be a fierce rival to the Pixel phones.

It was never unavailable, Apple was just holding it back to make people think it was selling better then it is.

You know better than to expect that from conspiracy theorists. Let their tinfoil hats waver in the breeze.....

It has been readily available for in-store purchase for a few weeks now. (The jet black also looks really good in a case he hehe.)
