Asus Transformer Prime delayed in Italy, to ship with Ice Cream Sandwich
Unfortunately, the launch of the Asus Transformer Prime is being delayed in some parts of the world. Word comes from Asus of Italy, which announced via its Facebook page that the tablet's release date is being pushed until the last week of January. The exact reason behind the delay is not stated.

It is also interesting that a 3G version of the Transformer Prime will not be sold in Italy. What is more disturbing, however, is that the machine-translated post hints that a 3G version may not be released at all, the reason being the wide adoption of Android smartphones and Wi-Fi tethering.

On the good side of things, the company confirmed that the Asus Transformer Prime will come running Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. An ICS update for the Eee Pad Transformer is also said to be coming, but will not be released until the Prime gets it.
