ASUS releases Android 4.2.1 ROM for ASUS Transformer Pad TF300

ASUS releases Android 4.2.1 ROM for ASUS Transformer Pad TF300
Earlier this month, ASUS pushed out an update to the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 which brought Android 4.2.2 to the slate. But if you happened to have your bootloader unlocked and missed the update, or want to try to install an update directly from ASUS' servers, the OEM has released a ROM of Android 4.2.1 for the slate. It comes in three flavors, Global, China or P2P, so better ascertain which group you're in before starting. All three are about 500MB in size.

All of the new features, enhancements and bug fixes are here. All of the Android 4.2 features are represented like multi-users, quick settings and lock-screen widgets. We've said quite a few times, to the point of ad nauseum, that ASUS is one of the best manufacturer's when it comes to updating its devices, so if you did miss the OTA update, consider this your lifeline to Android 4.2 for your ASUS Transformer Pad TF300. Hope that it is not another garbage update from Asus. All of their "big" updates (moving to a newer Android version) are though the quickest but laggy, buggy and only fixed after many updates after that (in fact users had to find the way to rollback their devices)

Do you know that the qualities of different items are varied? I had tf101, 201 and 701t. I visited xda frequently, how abt you? I think if you did, you could see a lot of complains there.

I got a TF300T... no bug after any updates. The only time I visited xda was to get it rooted and to get CM10.1 on it.

No ! This update replace the awesome honeycomb tablet UI with a phone UI . An actual downgrade . I prefer 4.1 jelly bean on all my devices !
