Sony D6503 Sirius leaks out in a lengthy video preview, flaunts fine viewing angles
The rumored Sony D6503 Sirius has leaked numerous times already, but nothing compares to this thorough 12-minute video demo below, which explores both the external design, and the software overlay. Leaked by user "Rimas Flyil", the video allegedly shows a non-final Sony D6503, running "unstable" Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with the company's own interface overlay on top of it.

A bunch of new observations can be spotted in the video - for instance, the phone has pretty thin side bezels, but the top and bottom ones seem as comparatively large as on the Z1, so we wouldn't expect it to be more compact, especially considering the rumored 5.2" display.

At the end the guy showcases the panel's viewing angles, which seem to be much better than what we have on both the Xperia Z and Z1. Since that was the main gripe with those two handsets, kudos to Sony for remedying it. Check out what's to expect from the Sirius in the lengthy video below.

Obviously this will be the flagship. No questions about it. This will be the flagship till Sony release their next "flagship".

not impressive. they could've done something about the camera. it'd be a shame if samsung beats them with their isocell camera.

I don't think its a z1 refresh because there's already the Z1S. Unless this is some kind of better-equipped, mass release version of the Z1S (its a Tmo exclusive). But then again, it doesn't have any significant features to warrant a z2 moniker unless Sony really wants to milk all they can out of the Z series before they move on

I think this is a Z1 without its major problems, that are audio quality (simply terrible speaker --') and bad viewing angles. This one seems worth buying,as a flagship without many compromises

Same old Sony design...Yet people will react differently to Sammy's "unchanging" design on their phones. I wonder why...

Maybe because all samsung phones look the same,
and this design was not "same old design" because
the design is only about 1 year old.

Lol you are hilarious stupid. The GS2 and GS3 are probably two of the most different looking phones ever. In fact, all the Galaxy S2 variants were pretty different.

samsung design is UGLY in any level. it doesn't mean it can't sell a lot, it did, but it's boring in terms of design and ugly. and cheap design. that's a fact. note 3 is not any better.

I am pretty sure he is talking about 2013 models all looking similar, flagships, mid range, low end.. And I quite agree, also I havent found a single person that LOVES samsung design beside Samsung sheeps like you. You know the same sheeps you make fun over at apple.

Woow it seems my post make my beloved samsung closed minded and die hard fanboy gone mad :)

just check gsmarena samsung phones data base and compare samsung phones from 2012 -2014 if you open your eyes and mind, you will realize that "MOST" samsung phones from entry level to flagships is look the same and they also uses the same flimsy, thin and cheap feeling plastics

I really know the difference between GS2 and GS3.
because I am a former GS2 user while my girlfriend is ex GS3 user.

Ya, it is sad that Sony decide to follow Samsung's footstep, but according to Xperiablog, Sony is gonna continue using this "Omnibalance" design this year. So we not gonna see any "WOW" design from Sony untill 2015....

No jackass.. you are the Idiot one. starting from galaxy pocket (6 mar 2012) it's 2014.. they are sticking to the same design.... s3, s4, trend, light, ace etc etc etc all came out with the same design. if you can't believe me check the date and start counting... and tell me if there is any new Android with different design.

you're out of your mind. the criticism in samsung's similarity in designs is not just about the flagships. it's about the whole galaxy range. xperias look different from each other. there are beautiful ones and there are ugly ones like the xperia c and m.

you must've been lost in the ocean of samsung devices that you can only see flagships.
