Samsung is no longer launching as many smartphone modelsyearly as it did some time ago, but the company is still offering handsets forall budgets. And we don't think this will change anytime soon.

While working on high-end phones like the Galaxy S9, or onmid-range models like the Galaxy A (2018) series, Samsung is also getting readyto release new low-end handsets. One of the company's upcoming low-end phones shouldbe the Galaxy J2 Pro (2018).

Thanks to a set of leaked renders, we can already take alook at the design of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2018). According to 91mobiles,the new handset measures around 143.1 x 72.2 x 8.6 mm, and should sport a displayof around 5 inches (possibly with 720 x 1280 pixels). The device seems to looka bit more elegant than previous low-end Samsung phones, although it's stillmade out of plastic.

As previously reported, the Galaxy J2 (2018) should bepowered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor aided by 1.5 GB or 2 GB of RAM.The handset might be announced and launched in early 2018, likely for under $150, and we hope it'llrun Android 8 Oreo out of the box.

While Samsung usually releases its Galaxy J phones only inAsia, Latin America, or Europe, the Galaxy J2 (2018) could be available in the US atsome point, though maybe not in an official way.
