Registrations for Google I/O to take place starting March 8th
Google's developer conference is moving to the company's backyard this year, with Google I/O 2016 being held at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. The event will be held May 18th through May 20th, and the website for the event has just gone live with a slick looking countdown timer keeping track of the days, hours, minutes and seconds remaining until the event kicks off.

With Google I/O being held at an Amphitheater, there are rumors that we could see anything ranging from Google's driver-less car, to a Google branded drone show up during the event. We should also see Android N make an appearance. Already, leaked images of the next Android build have started showing up.

If you're interested in attending Google I/O, beginning on March 8th you can register to get an opportunity to buy a ticket. From the large number of those who register, Google selects a lucky few to attend. Tickets last year were $900, with those in the field of academics charged $300 to get in. We will have more information as we get closer to the start of registrations next week.
