Last year, OnePlus opened the Experience Store in Beijing. Besides selling the OnePlus One, the store offers accessories and even has room for consumers to test the phone and learn how to use it. Unlike its competitors' stores, OnePlus has just one handset to sell. That is, until August 8th. According to a fresh report out of China, that is the date when the OnePlus 2 will be available from the Experience Store.

The OnePlus 2 will be formerly introduced at a VR event later tonight. The fireworks get underway at 10pm EDT in the U.S. Those of you who have your Google Cardboard headset and have downloaded the special OnePlus 2 launch app, are probably watching the clock with anticipation.

While TENAA has certified a version of the OnePlus 2 with a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 QHD screen, powered by the Snapdragon 810 SoC and featuring 4GB of RAM, another variant might be announced. A version of the OnePlus 2 caught on video running through the AnTuTu benchmark test revealed that the model A2001 will feature a 1080 x 1920 resolution screen with 3GB of RAM. We've also seen a version of the OnePlus 2 with 4GB of RAM pass through the GFXBench benchmark test with the model number A2003.

In less than 24 hours, the OnePlus 2 VR launch will take place and we should know everything about the eagerly awaited handset.

Thanks for the tip!
