LG GW990 will not see the light of day
First, for those unfamiliar with the LG GW990, we'll explain that it was first introduced in January, and was going to be a powerful smartphone running the Moblin 2.1 OS with the help of Intel's Moorestown platform, which is based on the Atom core. Think of it as a competition to Qualcomm's Snapdragon. The GW990 was going to be a half smartphone, half tablet device, equipped with a 4.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1024x480 pixels and 5MP camera.

We were pretty eager to meet this device in person, but unfortunately LG has now told us that the whole LG GW990 thing was just a concept and that such a phone will not be released. What a pity! Because we actually found this one quite impressive. Plus, we love new mobile operating systems. Anyways, we hope a real device running on MeeGo will soon see the light of day.

Yeah, LG, has a poor track record with AT&T and a decent one with VERIZON.....rather have SAMSUNG is forced to choose between the two KOREAN companies.

I'm on the other side of that coin, good sir. Nearly every Samsung phone I've had in my grasp has been nothing more than a polished turd. LG has been great for me personally.
