User Reviews
This phone replaces a OnePlus 6 which was working fine but was soon to be obsolete on AT&T's network with the implementation of 5G. While the specifications are great, in actual daily use, the phone is a constant frustration. The error rate on the in-screen fingerprint reader is at least 50% and the face ID is slow. Samsung's bloated One UI makes me long for Oxygen OS.
I foresee selling this when the next OnePlus model arrives.
- Build quality
- Top processer
- Samsung UI is awful. Too many duplicate apps and useless gimmicks. Seems like they're always trying to sell you some Samsung product. Some bugs.
- Fingerprint reader is terrible. Slow to read and fails 50% of the time.
- Face ID is very slow.
The Galaxy S20+ is Samsung's middle child in their S20 series, and it's the "just right" phone. It's not the Ultra flagship like the S20 Ultra, but neither is it small. It features the best cameras I'd argue out of any smartphone, the display is Samsung's best for 2020, and it features all the flagship bells and whistles, what's not to like? While the battery definitely depends on usage, it's support for 25W fast charging means full charges in less than an hour, meaning the inconvenience is small.
With the S21 Series coming out, if you're considering this phone wait until after those phones come out, but the S20+ will definitely hold it's own for 2021 and even 2022.
*Note: Review is based on the Snapdragon model, your mileage on the S20+ Exynos may vary.*

- Great for multimedia
- 3 years of support is better than before
- Balanced flagship
- Great software and software design with One UI
- Android
- Battery life depends on usage
- S21 is coming out soon
- Can feel somewhat slow with One UI
- Exynos on international models can be a pain sometimes
I am using the 4G version ($629) in the US on Mint Mobile. At that price I feel like I really got allot of phone; display, Dex, One UI, cameras. I love that I can make and receive calls on my Tab S6 while at home also with "call continuity feature". Download/upload average 60mb, 20mb which are fine for me. I know the exynos is the Cinderella chip but I think it does a fine job in running day to day tasks. I'm looking forward to seeing Android 13 on my boot up screen in the near future.
