iPhone 9 - this, according to rumors, will be the spiritual successor of the iPhone 8. It is believed that the handset will adopt the iPhone X's design down to the notch, but the 6.1-inch screen will be an LCD one instead of OLED. Rumored specs include a single main camera, an Apple A12 SoC, Face ID, and increased battery capacity. It is also rumroed that the iPhone 9 may drop the glass back cover in favor of a metal housing. Technology - There are two main screen technologies currently used in phones and tablets: LCD and AMOLED. Newer LCD variations like IPS-LCD and Super-LCD allow for very accurate color reproduction and very wide viewing angles, where no significant image quality loss is observed. Current AMOLED screens differ in such a way that they can exhibit much more saturated colors (sometimes too much) and incredibly high contrast levels, which is due to black color being completely black in AMOLED displays.
