Who's ready for the next "Un-carrier" move? While no one knows if T-Mobile plans to use the iconic tag for its big upcoming announcement, this is definitely set to revolutionize the way you currently get tons of perks and benefits with your standard wireless service.
Unfortunately, as has been the case for numerous changes introduced by Magenta in recent years, the T-Mix lineup leaked and detailed by multiple reliable sources over the last week or so seems guaranteed to cause just as much (if not more) confusion and even anger among new customers and long-time subscribers as it does excitement and enthusiasm.
This is how much every T-Mix perk will "cost"
To be perfectly clear right off the bat, the new T-Mobile T-Mix plans haven't been formally unveiled yet (let alone released to the public), so the information contained in the handy chart below is not 100 percent etched in stone.
That's a long list of cool perks you'll soon be able to get from T-Mobile with a new T-Mix plan. | Image by desterpot on Reddit
For the most part, it also makes sense for perks like Delta SkyMiles, DashPass by DoorDash, Google AI Plus, SiriusXM All Access, and YouTube Premium Lite to be the cheapest of the bunch, with ESPN Unlimited instead costing four times as much, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate requiring three picks, and Google AI Pro, Xbox Game Pass Premium, and full YouTube Premium setting you back a couple of picks each.
Finally, perhaps the juiciest and most exciting part of this latest leak is the "confirmation" of the super-low early cost of Apple TV, Hulu (with ads), and Netflix Premium for "founding" T-Mix members.
How will picks be earned again?
In theory, it's pretty simple. The more lines you have on your T-Mobile account, the more monthly picks you'll get to spend towards your freebies of choice.

In practice, however, it might prove a little daunting to figure out exactly what you're eligible for and when, especially because there are apparently three different T-Mix plans in the pipeline.
With T-Mix Standard, for instance, you'll get a pick for each of your first three lines and a fourth pick for your fourth line and beyond. On T-Mix More, you can reportedly amass up to 12 picks, with your first three lines giving you two picks each, while the T-Mix Loaded plan will cap off at 20 picks, starting at three picks for one line, six for two, eight for three, and ten for four.
I was interested but now that I’m seeing it laid out it looks stupid as hell. Why pay more to Tmobile when I can just subscribe to these separately when desired? Doesn’t look like there will be much savings. Looks I’ll be sticking with my recently migrated plan for the remaining of the 5 year lock.

That sounds like an unnecessarily convoluted system to me, and for the most part, Redditors seem to agree, expressing their confusion through memes, gifs, and other funny comments (how else?).
But wait, there's more
More benefits you can unlock using picks... if you understand exactly how they work. Yes, T-Mix picks will be used for device promos in addition to streaming and cloud storage services, and according to this older Reddit thread, the breakdown is even more complicated on that front.
For the time being, we only know of deals that will cost one, two, or three picks depending on what phone you want to buy, whether or not you have anything to trade in, and the value and condition of said trade-in device. But four-pick deals might be coming soon as well, and the suspicion is the iPhone Duo will be the first product to cost that much.
What's unclear is how long picks used for devices will remain ineligible for other perks or if perhaps the two types of perks will be kept completely separated. Also, the actual plan prices are still under wraps. Hopefully, T-Mobile will be able to explain this rewards system and the new T-Mix plans... better than me when the official announcement comes, because otherwise, the "Un-carrier" might have a colossal marketing fiasco on its hands here.
