Sony Xperia XZ3 gets big discounts and cool freebies at several major retailers
Who's excited about the Sony Xperia 1? Not that many people, huh? We're not going to act shocked after the company's dismal smartphone shipment numbers reported over the past few years. It's also worth pointing out that the next-gen flagship was formally unveiled way back in February, getting an exorbitant price point in the US in the meantime, as well as a comically distant (albeit inaccurate) release date.

But while waiting for the Xperia 1 to essentially reboot Sony's high-end handset family, you may want to give last year's Xperia XZ3 a final chance at a substantial discount. Originally priced at an arguably excessive $900, the 6-incher has been on sale a couple of times before with savings of between $170 and $200 or cool freebies like the Xperia Ear Duo.
Everyone from Amazon to Best Buy, B&H Photo Video, and Focus Camera is now charging $300 less than the phone's original price with absolutely no catches or strings attached of any sort. Best Buy can even go 50 bucks lower if you agree to activate the GSM unlocked Sony Xperia XZ3 on AT&T right off the bat, while Focus Camera throws in a whole bunch of charging goodies at no extra cost, including a 4,000 mAh power bank, 10W Qi wireless charging pad, dual USB car charger, and a 6 feet USB-C to USB-A cable. On top of it all, you also get a complimentary 64GB SanDisk Ultra microSD card.
Speaking of freebies, Amazon also sells the XZ3 at a decent $200 discount bundled with a gratis Xperia Ear Duo wireless stereo headset. The somewhat quirky gift, which lets you enjoy your music, make hands-free calls, listen to your schedule, news, and forecasts while simultaneously hearing surrounding noise, is typically available for around $200 on its own, adding to the massive aforementioned savings.

Last but not least, it's interesting to point out Amazon offers the same $300 discount as the other major retailers for the Xperia XZ3 alone in black or white silver, with the "Forest Green" model actually sold at a whopping $315 off.
Granted, the phone doesn't exactly look like a "modern" high-ender, with a 2:1 screen and relatively thick bezels, but that 6-inch OLED beaut delivers 2880 x 1440 resolution and top-notch HDR support. You also get a powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, water-resistant build, wireless charging capabilities, and two excellent front-firing speakers at a reasonable price.
