Samsung Gear Sport with 1-year warranty drops to crazy low $130 on eBay
Samsung is one of the very few companies worth taking seriously as an Apple rival in the budding smartwatch market, with quite a few interesting Tizen-powered models available at nice discounts for Black Friday from both the manufacturing company and third-party retailers.

The Gear Sport pretty much took a backseat in recent months, and not just because a far prettier and faster Galaxy Watch was released in August. The older Gear S3 made many headlines with frequent deals in new and refurbished condition, the latest of which brought the price of the 2016 wearable down to an irresistible $160.

But while Samsung currently charges $180 for a new Gear Sport, the same device in “new other” condition fetches a measly $129.99 in a limited-time eBay Black Friday deal. The seller is a decidedly reputable one, with 99.7 percent positive feedback based on over 23,000 ratings from the last 12 months, and Quick Ship Electronics even throws in a free 1-year warranty.

What exactly does “new other” mean? Basically, that the retail packaging might be “slightly distressed”, but the device itself powers on with its factory settings restored, showing no signs of wear while working as new.

In case you’re wondering, the Samsung Gear Sport is essentially a slightly smaller, lighter, and sportier Gear S3 with a higher water resistance rating. Safe for swimming, the heavily marked-down smartwatch tips the scales at only 50 grams, packing a reasonably powerful dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, and a decent 300 mAh battery.

Less focused on style than the Samsung Gear S3, the Gear Sport comes with a 44.6mm case and black rubber band, naturally supporting both iOS and Android smartphones while featuring everything from a heart rate monitor to NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a gyro sensor, barometer, and accelerometer. Not too shabby for just 130 bucks!
