Thanks to advancements made in technology, smartphone manufacturers have been able to increase the battery life on their phones. According to a Weibo post from leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand is working on three different smartphone models each powered by a 10,000 mAh battery.
Redmi is working on three phones each sporting a 10,000mAh battery
All three phones will not only each sport a 10,000 mAh battery, but the trio will also feature a wired charging speed of over 100W. The models expected to feature such massive cells include the Redmi Note and the Redmi K Series.
What would you do in return for a massive battery on your phone?
Keep in mind that the Redmi Note models in China have had different specs than the similarly named international models, which have been released months after the domestic models were. In addition, the Redmi K Series phones are found only in China, so there is a possibility that the models powered by a 10,000mAh battery will be limited to China.
The EU prefers dual-cell batteries
On the other hand, some Redmi K Series phones get rebranded under the Poco moniker, but even in this scenario we'd expect to see the 10,000mAh battery surface in Poco units found only in Asia. The new Redmi phones sporting a 10,000mAh battery will be single-cell which makes using them in the EU more problematic.

Using a dual-cell battery allows each cell to meet certain international energy limits for shipping batteries. A large single-cell battery can surpass these limits, resulting in the imposition of stricter transport requirements for these batteries in the EU and other regions. Smartphone manufacturers using single-cell batteries in the EU could end up paying more for transporting them and this could result in higher-priced smartphones in that market.
This is the current Xiaomi Redmi model with the largest smartphone battery
The largest battery currently inside any Xiaomi Redmi phone is the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which is equipped with a 9,000mAh battery that charges as fast as 100W. Speaking of 100W charging, you might not see this in the U.S. for some time. Current limits are placed at 80W because U.S. carriers are concerned about devices overheating and exploding.

With that in mind, it might be some time before we see the triple-digit charging speeds made available in the U.S.
