Remember when an Android smartphone with a smooth 90Hz screen seemed like an inaccessible luxury for the vast majority of mobile users, especially outside of the US?
That's clearly no longer the case, at least in the UK, where a reasonably feature-packed device like the unlocked Oppo A76 normally costs just £189. If even that feels too rich for your blood, Amazon's gargantuan regional spring sale is currently slashing 90 quid off the handset's list price for a couple of days... or until stocks run out.
This is an absolutely phenomenal and completely unprecedented 48 percent discount good for a single black color option of a 6.56-inch mid-ranger with a Snapdragon 680 processor and 5,000mAh battery under its hood.
If that sounds like it could keep you going for an unusually long time between charges given the price point of the A76, you should note the 1612 x 720 pixel resolution of the IPS LCD screen as a possible endurance maximizer as well.
The 90Hz refresh rate technology will probably not affect the real-world battery life numbers of this thing by an extremely large degree, especially if you're not much of a mobile gamer.
