On October 24, which is Saturday, dozens of T-Mobile stores across the US will host a series of special events—apreciation events, no less—dedicated to first responders, the people who literally risk their lives to help in times of trouble.

T-Mobile's new blog post lays out the details. The Magenta carrier and the First Responders Children's Foundation (FRCF) are preparing something for the most prominent first responders statewide. They'll be putting these heroes in the spotlight.
The events will start on October 24 (again, that's Saturday) and the first responder appreciation events will be held at 25 T‑Mobile stores across the country. Then, popular Jon Stewart will host the First Responders Children's Foundation 2026 Roll Call of Heroes ceremony in Times Square. This event will take place on October 28.

Celebrating and remembering
This ceremony will mark three things: FRCF's 25th anniversary, 25 years since the 9/11 tragedy and America's 250th birthday.
Jon Stewart said first responders deserve the same support they provide to others during their most difficult moments. Returning for a second year, he said he was proud to help recognize their service and honor those who risk their lives to protect their communities, while thanking the First Responders Children's Foundation for its work.

What to expect at these T-Mobile store events
The FRCF's and T‑Mobile's first responder appreciation events will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (local time) on October 24.
There'll be notable local first responders (including retired first responders), T‑Mobile employees and neighbors. They'll come together and there'll be free food, games, giveaways, photo opportunities and emergency vehicle displays at select locations. If your local T-Mobile store hosts such an event this Saturday, it's always a great idea to introduce your kid to these heroes and their machines.
Also, there'll be Gratitude Walls where attendees will be able to leave personalized messages of thanks.
T‑Mobile will donate $125,000 to the FRCF; this sum is meant to support local first responder agencies and families through scholarships, mental health counseling, bereavement grants, disaster relief and more.
T-Mobile's role
Telcos have realized that those who risk their lives to help (and save) other members of the community need strong support themselves, including technical.
That's why T-Priority is crucial. That's how T‑Mobile makes it possible for first responders to access every 5G band of the T‑Mobile network with priority and even in times of extreme network congestion.
T-Mobile Business Group chief Chris Sambar said the company will present Chad Huff with its T-Priority Leadership Award, recognizing his service as a first responder and the sacrifices made by those who support him. He also highlighted T-Priority, T-Mobile's service offering first responders priority network access during critical situations.
The ceremony will also honor six New York first responders from the NYPD, FDNY, MTA Police, Port Authority Police Department and New York State Police. Five additional leaders will receive the SERVPRO Natural Disaster Response Award for their agencies' combined response to the 2026 Spokane Complex Fires: Chiefs Matthew Vinci, Mike Nokes, Tom Williams and Don Malone, along with Sheriff John Nowels.
