Now, I understand the 2024 model is technically an old phone now, but it’s still an incredible value for the money, especially if you get it for just $169.99 with a trade-in. Its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM, provides plenty of power for daily tasks like web browsing, watching YouTube, and scrolling through Insta. Of course, you might notice a stutter here and there if you push it too hard or run multiple apps simultaneously.
Another big selling point for me is the 6.7-inch pOLED display. With its 2400 x 1080 resolution, it offers great picture quality that is honestly stunning given the price. Moreover, the screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and gets quite bright, boasting 1,200 nits of peak brightness. There’s also a 50MP main camera on board, which takes good enough photos for what you’re paying, even if they can’t quite compete with the best camera phones on the market.
To be honest, the only downside I see—and a possible dealbreaker—is the mediocre software support. Major OS updates stop at Android 15, meaning you won’t be able to update to Android 16 or beyond. However, it’ll continue to receive security updates until 2027, so your data will stay protected. Yet, I still think the phone brings a lot to the table, which is why I encourage you to give it a chance if not having the latest version of Android isn’t an issue for you, and you’re looking for an affordable phone with a built-in stylus.
