honor 7 Enhanced Edition is official, packed with Android 6.0
Amid talk that the honor brand will be coming to the U.S., an enhanced version of the honor 7 has been announced. The honor 7 Enhanced Edition will come with Android 6.0 right out of the box, and Huawei's EMUI 4.0 skin will be running on top.

This new version of the honor 7 also has more internal memory. Instead of the 16GB of ROM that is loaded on the original version of the honor 7, the Enhanced Edition offers 32GB. The remaining specs match the original honor 7 and include a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. That provides a 424ppi pixel density. The Kirin 935 chipset is under the hood, carrying an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and the Mali-T628 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, and a fingerprint scanner is on board.

The honor 7 Enhanced Edition is equipped with a 20MP rear-facing camera, and there is an 8MP front-facing shooter to handle selfies and video chats. Keeping the generator humming is a 3100mAh battery. The latter is powered up quickly, thanks to the 9V-2A charger that comes in the box. The phone does feature a smart key that can be programmed as a shortcut to various functions. And a voice-activated virtual assistant, produced by Baidu and Huawei, is offered on the honor 7 Enhanced Edition.

The honor 7 Enhanced Edition is available now in China, priced at the equivalent of $309 USD. The price of the original honor 7 has been cut by $31 USD to $278 USD.
