New Galaxy S9 Best Buy deal
It’s no longer a big secret that Galaxy S9 sales haven’t been as hot as Samsung expected, which may have prompted the early upcoming announcement of the Galaxy Note 9, and could even contribute to the ultimate merger of the company’s two flagship smartphone families.

But in the meantime, the S9 and S9+ are still undoubtedly among the world’s all-around best Android handsets. They’re even more attractive when they're discounted or sold alongside some nice freebies, preferably with little to no strings attached.

The latest Best Buy deal doesn’t require a trade-in, network switch or lengthy carrier agreement, but the always-generous retailer also doesn’t offer outright savings on the two ultra-high-end mobile devices. Instead, you’ll have to settle for up to $200 knocked off the prices of select Samsung Chromebooks.

You’ll have to purchase an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9+ together with one of eight different Chrome OS laptops in order to score that solid markdown. The most expensive Samsung Chromebook on special offer is a 12.3-inch 2-in-1 Pro model with a touchscreen and 4GB RAM, which typically costs $629, but can now be had for only $429. As long as you don’t have a problem also paying $729 for a “regular” GS9 or $840 and up for a plus-sized, dual camera variant, that is.

At the other end of the spectrum, an entry-level 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook with Intel Celeron inside, 2GB RAM, and 16GB eMMC storage is free of charge if you remember to add it to your cart at the same time as an unlocked Galaxy S9 or S9+. That’s right, you get a complimentary computer with your phone. Bet you didn’t see that coming five or ten years ago, did you?
