Benchmark test confirms what will drive the Galaxy S26 FE

The latest run through Geekbench confirms the processor that will power the Galaxy S26 FE and how much RAM it will carry.

The Korean variant of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, heading toward a release in late September or October, has been benchmarked on Geekbench. With a model number of SM-S741N, the phone scored 2255 for its single-core score and 7450 for the multi-core result. The US version, SM-S741U, scored 2426 and 8004 for single-core and multi-core respectively.

The Exynos 2500, a serviceable AP, will power the Galaxy S26 FE

As expected, the Galaxy S26 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2500 application processor (AP), manufactured by Samsung Foundry using its 3nm process node and the Gate-All-Around (GAA) architecture. With GAA, the gate surrounds the channel on all four sides using vertically stacked horizontal nanosheets. This reduces current leaks and hikes the drive current, allowing a transistor to switch faster from "On" to "Off" and vice versa.

The Exynos 2500 AP uses a deca-core (10 CPU cores) tri-cluster configuration that looks like this:

  • 1-Prime Core: ARM Cortex-X925/Cortex-X5 with a clock speed of 3.30 GHz.
  • 2-Performance Cores: ARM Cortex-A725 running at 2.74 GHz.
  • 5-Mid Cores: ARM Cortex-A725 with a clock speed of 2.36 GHz.
  • 2-Efficiency Cores: ARM Cortex-A520 with a 1.80 GHz clock speed.

The Exynos 2500 is a serviceable processor and will be teamed up with 8GB of RAM. If you're curious, the Galaxy S26 flagship series, by comparison, features the Exynos 2600 AP (with Heat Path Block) or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy (in North America, China, and Japan) with 12GB of memory (16GB for the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra).

An image of the phone has already made the rounds

The Galaxy S26 FE will be released sporting Android 17 pre-installed, with Samsung One UI 9.0 on top. Earlier this month, the Wireless Power Consortium website had a listing for the Galaxy S26 FE, which included an image of the device

The Galaxy S26 FE makes a slight change to the placement of the rear camera module

The Galaxy S26 FE borrows from the Galaxy S26 flagship design language. The triple-camera setup on the back of the phone uses what I like to call the "Traffic Light" module. You might notice that it is placed a little closer to the edge of the upper left corner and side than the module on the Galaxy S26 flagship models.

The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to be offered with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage. A 4900mAh to 5000mAh battery will keep the lights on with support for 45W fast charging. The handset will feature version 2.2.1 of Qi2, which allows for wireless charging speeds of up to 25W.

Qi2 version 2.2.1 allows for a more precise magnetic alignment

Qi2 version 2.2.1 also includes a more precise magnetic alignment, which helps to make sure the charging coils are perfectly centered. This reduces the intensity of the heat generated by 25W wireless charging. The phone is equipped with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness.

The price of the entry-level version of the Galaxy S26 FE could be in a range between $649.99 and $699.
