Xiaomi Mi 6 sells out its first flash sale this morning; next one takes place May 5th

The Xiaomi Mi 6 had its first flash sale in China earlier today, and as you might expect, the device sold out in seconds, Mind you, only the jet black version of the new flagship was available. The price of the Mi 6 with 64GB of native storage is the equivalent of $360 USD. The model with twice that amount of internal storage costs the equivalent of $420 USD. A third model, sporting a ceramic body and 128GB of native storage, is priced at the equivalent of $435 USD.

If you planned on participating in the flash sale, but missed out today for one reason or another, the next one will take place on May 5th. That is next Friday, and it will take place at 10am local time in China. Since the jet black model sold today, we could see one of the remaining three colors (silver, white and blue) involved in the next flash sale.

Just to refresh your memory, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch LCD display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution (FHD). Under the hood you'll find the Snapdragon 835 chipset carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB/128GB of native storage. The dual camera setup on back features a 12MP wide angle camera and a 12MP telephoto snapper. A fingerprint scanner is found on the button under the front screen, and a 3,350mAh battery keeps the hamster wheel spinning. The 3.5mm headphone jack has been eliminated and a Type-C USB port is on board. The version of MIUI based on Android 7.1 is pre-installed.

There is a good chance that next week's flash sale will also be sold out quickly. If you want a shot at the phone, you will have to pre-register, which you can do at Xiaomi's online mall. To get there, simply click on the sourcelink.
