Virgin Mobile to get HTC Desire 601 according to leak

A new tweet from evleaks reveals that the HTC Desire 601, a handset we first met in July when it was called the HTC Zara, is coming to Virgin Mobile. That is a 4.5 inch screen you're looking at, with resolution of 540 x 960 known as qHD. This is not your high-end beast as you can tell from the 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU on board, along with 1GB of RAM.

But what does interest us is that Sense 5 is paired with Android 4.2.2 on the device, which means that BlinkFeed will be available so you can view streaming images from your favorite news and social network sites. Just because the HTC Desire 601 gets its design cues from the HTC One and does offer you the front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers, doesn't mean there are UltraPixels in the camera. Actually, it is a 5MP snapper that adorns the back of the handset.

We don't have an exact launch date for the HTC Desire 601 on Virgin, nor do we have a price. Although the phone does come in white, black and red, we are not sure yet which colors you will find at the pre-paid carrier.
