User-Agent string appears for HTC Merge, confirms specs
First came the rumor that the HTC Merge was being delayed to install an LTE radio on the device. Then the unit appeared in Best Buy's inventory system and on the Cellebrite machine used by carriers to transmit data back and forth among handsets. Reports of an imminent launch on Verizon started circulating and it was rumored that the phone would be a "DROID" model. A 360 degree look at the handset was put up on Verizon's web site and then quickly taken down.

Now, directly from HTC's own servers, comes the User-Agent string for the phone. And it confirms some of the specs that have been bandied about when discussing the HTC Merge. For example, the resolution of the screen is confirmed at 480 x 800 pixels, and there does seem to be a physical QWERTY keyboard on the model, as predicted. Also on board is the usual A/V suspects.

So now when will we actually see the HTC Merge launch without having it taken back? Speculation currently centers on November 23rd, but at this point when it comes to the HTC Merge, we will believe it when we see it.
